Turquoise Piece, Birdcages and Industrial Finds, and Serendipity!

Here is a cute turquoise distressed piece I just painted for Ashley - she has put it in her foyer!

A friend of mine, LuAnn, has 2 great booth spaces at Interiors & Antiques in Vestavia.  She was telling me last week about some of the great items she has been finding lately and I wanted to share some with you.  The first are some great old birdcages!  These would be so cute repurposed into unique light fixtures and I also know that a lot of people are using these in their Rustic Weddings to hold wedding cards guests bring!

Here is a photo of some new 'industrial chic' items LuAnn picked last weekend and put in her booth in Vestavia yesterday. She said that the fan does have bearings and could be mounted to rotate in a garden, used inside as a fantastic statement piece or even turned into a light fixture!

This is a 'before' photo of some vintage lockers in a man's shed where LuAnn found them. She got two sets that are numbered. She said they need a little TLC but she should have them in the shop next week!

If you are interested in any of these items, LuAnn is vendor LWH at Interiors & Antiques in Vestavia!

I also wanted to let you know that one of the shops where I am a vendor has just changed ownership!  Colleen opened Serendipity (at Brook Highland Plaza on Hwy. 280) several months ago but her and her family are moving to Florida so a mother/daughter team, Jeanette and A.J. (who were already vendors there) are now the new owners!  They have lots of retail experience and I am sure will do a wonderful job.  If you get a chance, I hope you will go onto Serendipity's new Facebook page and like them!
